The Fish Buzz

     Hi and welcome back yak fans.  This month I’m writing about an event near and dear to my heart.  I’m pleased to announce the Riversport Kayaks and Indian Bay Outfitters First Annual Nature Coast Kayak Fishing (“NO”) Tournament Barbeque and Fish Fry. No registration fees, no captains meetings, no bait restrictions, no bad attitudes, no teetotalers, (well, a few designated drivers and such but we reserve the right to set a strict quota), and no free beer.  Sorry, what do you want for nothing!  No nothing but fun, fishing and a cookout to follow, all set a rock-bottom recession-proof price of FREE. 

     So whether you’re an old salt, an average angler, (sorry Glen), or a newbie, come on out and make some new friends.  Prizes will be awarded for the largest red, trout, maybe the most spots and others, as I make them up.  Any arguments with my decisions will be referred to our Secretary-Treasurer, Helen Wait. So if you don’t like my decision, go to Helen Wait. 

     The event is scheduled for the last part of April, so I’ll be announcing the dates, our other sponsors and prizes, in next month’s issue.  We’re planning to hold the festivities in Ozello, which if you’ve never been, is a treat in itself.  There is lodging and camp sites all along the area and we hope to have a great turnout. 

     Also, you will have a chance to check out the newest in fishing and family kayaks from the largest inventory of kayaks on the Nature Coast, at Riversport Kayaks.  Every day is demo day, so take one out for a paddle. Okay okay, enough for now, but please contact us with any questions or RSVP; I know that’s tough without a firm date, but we’d like to have some sort of a headcount.
